STDs are very important to share (pun intended) with whoever you’re engaging in sexual contact with before you actually have contact. I’m not saying you should be like “Hi how are you? Do you have herpes?” But if you see anything funny around his mouth I would ask discretely before kissing him and if you plan on having any sort of sexual contact (oral, vaginal, anal, even handjobs) tell him you don’t have any stds and are completely clean. He needs to be able to say “same here” or something like that and EVEN THEN let him know you heard a rumor that put you on edge.
Rumors are just rumors but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
